Why it matters

This focuses on the financial power of working longer: more salary years, more service credit, a larger pension multiplier, and less time to bridge before Social Security starts.

Tiered multiplier math used here

Base pension = FAS x service years x 2.0%

If `Tiered Multiplier` is selected, the tool adds: 0.5% x FAS for each service year above 15, up to 25 years total.

That means the bonus applies only to service years 16 through 25.
